For the Love of the Game

The Pirates did better this week. Last week the score was 9-0 in favor of the NJ Wild. This week we were outmatched again, but the boys played more skillfully and more aggressively. Pearl River went out strong and scored a goal in the first period (you should have heard the parents excitement.)

Starting with the second period, the NJ Highlands scored 6 goals. Have to give it to the Pirates goalie, Danny, he did an awesome job -- he stopped many attempts on their goal (the score could have been more like 1-20.) The boys were so happy with the game -- gotta love that they enjoy being on the ice and playing, not a care in the world about the final outcome. After the game they all jumped on the goalie for a large group hug.During the first period. Liam is No. 5 -- going for the guy with the puck.

Love to watch them after the game.

We got home and Liam set up a goal, got a roll of electrical tap, put Daddy as goaltender, and practiced. Just in case you didn't notice, Liam LOVES hockey.
